INTERVIEW
In this year's summer line we have a design, which is not typically Infernal at all. The man behind this design - and lots of pics on the Infernal-page - is introduced in this little interview.
|
|
| PJ: | Hey Jakob! So tell us the most important facts about you. |
| JS: | My name is Jakob Stolz, I'm 20 years old, come from Obernzenn, finished my Abitur (german for A-levels) and I'm a passionate photographer.
|
| PJ: | How did your collabo with Infernal start? |
| JS: | As far as I can remember you asked me if I can take some pictures for Infernal. I think you knew from Chronic Aggression - for which I made lots of stuff, e.g. their last CD-graphics - that I'm into photography and photoshop. Actually my focus was shooting concerts but I'm always down for new projects. So why not work together as we come from the same area and as I know Infernal from its start in 2001? Then we handled some shootings and everything went cool for both sides - it's very important for me, that I can feel the projects I do and this is the case with Infernal. |
| PJ: | So how did you come up with your shirt-design, what's the meaning? |
| JS: | I've always been a person who is interested in apparently different styles. Like in music: My taste varys from Reggae to Metalcore and pretty everything between. |
| PJ: | I like it and if our supporters think the same way we will definitely see the next shirt! How will your collabo with Infernal continue? |
| JS: | First of all thank you that everything went that damn fine. It is a great opportunity for me to publish stuff in the name of Infernal! And for the future I simply hope, that we can work even more togehter, I really like it and Infernal just rules. Especially that it is a local brand which is not only interested in selling products and making money, there ain't people counting the money behind that, but Infernal is interested in supporting their team, their sport and that's what they do and love. |
| PJ: | Thanks for that, I'm always down for projects with you. Where can you view some of your works? |
| JS: | On the Infernal homepage you can view the images from Realstreet DD or you just take a look at the new summer catalog. The 13-hours-photo-safari across Nuremberg was the most exhausting project we did together so far but I think the result is pretty cool. Who is interested in more pics can take a look at jaeko.deviantart.com. Or if you are down for community go add me at http://www.myspace.com/jakobstolz. As a last point: Who has a project for me or is in need of a photographer, I'm always down for new projects! |
| PJ: | Yeah, we had not much time for the summer catalog-shootings but you really did a great job! |
| JS: | As I am in the lucky position, that I don't need to make money with my photography, I don't need to take money for my work. But I always appreciate giving me something back for my time and effort. With Infernal I'm always well dressed and that's cool for both sides. On festivals I can eat for free and don't have to pay for the tickets. Moreover I have the chance to get to know interesting bands. So I have no pressure that I need to make money and so I can take the projects I'm really interested in. . |
| PJ: | Great attitude ;-) From my side once again lots of respect - all our projects went down really cool! Even if we start total new projects which noone of us has ever done you achieve really high-quality. As a person you are really uncomplicated and it's always cool to work with you! I wish you all the best for your future and am looking forward to work with you again. |
| JS: | Me too! |
